PITCH YOUR STORY BY JULY 23, 2019
We are seeking contributors for CreatedHere’s fall issue – HERS. This edition explores collaboration between women in fine craft, visual art and design fields. It is a forum for women and their supporters to share inspiring stories of working together toward innovative goals.
We believe New Brunswick’s art community is one of the most cooperative in the country. This fall, let’s celebrate. Rather than getting ourselves bogged down about gender disparity, we’ll get excited about the alternative. HERS will feature the women who are working together and strengthening their communities, their influence, and each other.
We are seeking:
artists who create together,
arts administrators who design projects as a team, and
arts businesswomen who pursue joint entrepreneurial goals.
We would also love to see:
coverage of exhibitions featuring female artists, curators, or content,
historical essays that explore women collaborating in times past,
contemporary use of mediums traditionally considered to be ‘women’s work’
and stories of how creating art has helped women thrive in adverse situations.
We are open to any and all ideas that fit this theme.
We have a new submission process, available here. Please read carefully through the pitch instructions as they must be followed in order to be considered.
Anyone may submit – all mediums, genders, cultures, identities. Up to 10 writers will be selected and they will each receive an $80 honorarium upon completion.
