Seeking Sales Expert for 14-Week Contract | Deadline: February 12, 2021

CreatedHere Magazine is a non-profit quarterly publication focused on increasing the reach of New Brunswick visual artists. We are seeking a freelance sales expert for a 14-week contract to lay the groundwork for our sales and distribution systems. In short, we need someone who will hit the ground running with ideas and action to scale our business.

Responsibilities:

·         Assess and improve our current distribution and sales practices.

·         Research new avenues for sales and distribution.

·         Perform sales calls to increase targeted subscriptions and advertising accounts.

·         Contribute to training our staff in effective sales practices.

·         Contribute to the development of a roadmap for revenue sustainability.

Extensive experience and positive track record in sales is a must. Experience selling subscriptions or advertising, or in the publication realm, is an asset. We are looking for a self-starter who is very confident in verbal and written communication, who can demonstrate their sales expertise, and who is eager to work collaboratively. It is important they have a willingness to understand and work within the mandate of our social purpose organization.

We are located in Fredericton, New Brunswick but remote working from anywhere in Canada is permitted and hours are negotiable provided the individual remains available to meet virtually.

This position runs from February 22 – May 28, 2021. The rate of pay is dependant on experience ($20-$40/hour), up to a maximum of $22,800 for the full 14-week period. Our intent is to hire one individual to work full-time for the duration, though we would consider other options depending on the experience level and time availability of the applicants.
