In episode 01 of ART IN PRINT with host Jenn Carson, she discusses the book ‘Capturing Crime’ by artist Carol Taylor.
Carol Taylor’s Capturing Crime is an in-depth look at over three decades of her work as a court artist in the New Brunswick justice system.
Her quick, detailed sketches are the primary visual representations of some of the most well-known cases in the province’s recent history. From Premier Richard Hatfield’s drug trial and both Alan Légère trials to the Justin Bourque and Dennis Oland cases, her keen eye and attention to detail are showcased in this important book. Accompanying her images are the stories surrounding these cases as she heard them play out during the proceedings.
