Festival Season is here!
Life may not be completely back to normal this summer, but we seem to be getting ever that much closer. Several organizations and communities have been hard at work planning exciting arts events that, pandemic willing, will help you exit isolation and jump-start inspiration!
Check out one (or many!) of these arts and culture celebrations and support local NB talent as you soak in the sunshine! ☀️
Festival Inspire is going on a road trip this summer, celebrating its 6th year of spreading colour and life in 8 different communities across New Brunswick. Each city or village will experience a week long street art festival with murals, live art, music, and more. Visit their website for this summer’s locations and schedule.
Flourish Festival is a four-day art festival presenting music, educational programming, visual art, theatre, community projects, public art, and more across the city of Fredericton. This year there will be both in-person and online events, so check it out no matter where you might find yourself this June!
Miroir/Mirror is premiering this summer as New Brunswick’s first feminist festival. Through artistic and cultural events, it aims to address gender inequalities in Greater Moncton’s cultural landscape, create spaces that offer cross disciplinary activities and to empower women and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Media will be posted online so you can take in this one from the comfort of your couch.
Craft NB’s Summer Fest features fine craft from master New Brunswick craftspeople working in wood, ceramics, metal, jewelry, fibre, painting, leather and more! There will also be live craft demos, food trucks, live music, and even a fibre animal petting zoo!
Victoria Park Craft Fair is a high quality arts and craft market located in a gorgeous park setting. Scout out some amazing and unique handmade goods created by artisans from throughout the Maritimes.

Future Forest Festival is three days of non-stop music featuring local and international headliners. Immersed deep in nature, participants also enjoy an array of visual and performance art such as live painting, fire spinning, and aerial and acrobatic dance.
Life at the Lakes is a cozy country festival that’s a celebration of art, nature, culture, and community. It takes place over three days and 15 locations across the Village of Cambridge-Narrows and surrounding area. If you are craving a slower pace in cottage country, this is the the perfect spot to recharge as you explore what the rural art community has to offer.
Le Festival acadien est un événement culturel et artistique, populaire et accessible. Le Festival acadien vise à promouvoir la culture acadienne et le fait français de façon festive avec une ouverture sur le monde.
Third shift is Saint John’s festival of public contemporary art that offers participants the chance to engage with artwork in their community. This year, there will be an emphasis on presenting artworks online and also on the installation of longer-term site-specific projects.
Rendezvous des Artistes is the largest gathering of painters and sculptors in Eastern Canada. Each participating artist gets their own cabin to set up shop for the weekend and visitors are invited to come meet the artists and purchase their work. With over 100 cabins to choose from, attendees are bound to walk away from this one with a few new pieces and/or techniques to try out!
