Who Will Sing For Sission Brook? | Craig Anthony Schneider [Environmental Installation]

Join artist Craig Anthony Schneider as he offers a gesture of appreciation to the river and a prayer for the well-being.

This installation is part of a larger project by the name of ‘Prayer to the Rivers.’

From the artist:

‘Who will sing for Sisson Brook?’ is a response to our mindless and heartless relationship to our Mother as something for the taking. Though I am complicit through my use of modern technologies that use rare earth metals. Can I say “not in my backyard?” Yet we need to protect the remaining land and honour the losses of habitat of woods and ancient waterways as if they were our very flesh. I offer a gesture of appreciation, a prayer for the well-being of all, through an offering in gold, back to the waters and letting the river take it as it may.
